Is Your Self-Worth Blocking You From What You Want?

Your ability to receive… whether it’s a compliment; a gift; self-care… comes down to how worthy you feel of receiving good things. When we struggle to receive, it’s because, deep down, we feel like we aren’t deserving of those things.

How Empaths Can Be Less Dragged Down By Negative Energy

Are you a thermometer or a thermostat? In other words… do you take the temperature of the room or do you set the temperature of the room? An empath through and through, I’d historically walk into a room, notice the energy, and automatically shift my own feelings to match how others were feeling.

Highly Sensitive People Can Benefit The Most From Spirituality

Before I had my spiritual connection, I used to think I had to carry it all myself. I always thought life was just going to feel a little heavier and harder for me.

Here’s How To Know If You’re An Empath

Sometimes it’s hard to know where other people’s feelings end and mine begin because it all feels so alive in my body. My bones ache in the presence of sadness. My heart hurts when I see someone disappointed in themselves. I want to wrap people in the warmest hug when I see them feeling ashamed.

Why You Should Trust The Process If You Want A Cool Life

Trusting the process is weighty. When you break it down, it’s gnarly. When you actually put it into practice, you’ve never been more uncomfortable. Because it’s not what you’re used to.

Why You Should Embrace Your Sensitivity As Your Greatest Asset

Throughout my life, I always heard that I was “too sensitive” and my emotions were “too much”. I used to be so ashamed of being this way. Now I’m proud of it. Ironically, it’s what fuels me to do good in the world.

Why Are We So Afraid Of Being Judged By Other People?

We have one life to live! One. Do we want to look back and see all the ways we didn’t try because we were scared of what other people might think? I sure don’t.

If you’re constantly feeling under pressure, her If you’re constantly feeling under pressure, here’s the hard truth… ā¤µļø

WE are creating a lot of that pressure. 🄵

Yes, we might have an overbearing boss.

Yes, we might have a lot of responsibilities as a stay-at-home mom.

Yes, we might be juggling a full-time job + an online business on the side.

AND we can STILL find ways to take the pressure off of ourselves. šŸ˜®ā€šŸ’Ø

It’s on US to change things…

To set boundaries.
To learn how to regulate our nervous system .
To speak our needs.
To ask for help instead of try to do it all.

It can be sooo easy to blame our circumstances (been there, done that more times than I can count). šŸ˜µā€šŸ’«

But when we actually recognize the POWER and autonomy we actually have in every situation…

That’s when we can actually make changes to live a life that feels better. šŸ™šŸ¼

Last week, I was dancing with burnout. I was overwhelmed with motherhood, utterly exhausted, and processing a recent trauma.

I felt like a victim, I was angry, I was D O N E.

And then I remembered that I have a choice in every situation. And even thoughhhh I had a lot going on in my life, there were STILL ways to support myself so that I didn’t totally burnout.

I’m chatting about all of this in this week’s episode of the Sensitive & Soulful Show. šŸŽ™ļø

In this episode, you’ll learn—
✨About my experiences with burnout
🌸How I’m currently tackling burnout symptoms
🩷Why it’s so important to choose yourself first

Check your energy leaks! āš”ļø

Learning this concept was a game changer for me as an HSP and I love sharing this simple wisdom with my fellow sensitive souls.

Closing energy leaks is radical for HSPs especially becauseeee of the way we get overwhelmed and overstimulated more easily.

Energy leaks are the sneaky things that drain us, hang over our heads, and take us out of our flow. Often without us even realizing it. šŸ˜

Let me know in the comments which energy leak you’re going to close up! ā¬‡ļø

So, I’m just gonna keep it real with you… ā¤µļø

I’ve been feeling like I’ve been in a pressure cooker lately. I’ve had so much coming at me, from every angle in my life.

I feel like I’m swimming in the ocean and waves keep crashing over me.

I get my head above water just long enough to catch my breath… and then another wave crashes over me, once again.

It’s been a season of a lot. A lot, a lot, a lot.

(I share more about what I’ve been personally navigating in my previous post).

Whew.

And while it’s been super challenging, exhausting, and emotional… I also know that all of this is happening to me because it’s part of my evolution.

You see, even when things suck and I almost have to laugh at the absurdity of how bad everything feels (for example, last night: I was laying in my daughter’s crib with her at 4AM because she would NOT go to sleep. I’m 5’8ā€ā€¦ this was not comfortable, lol.).

I trust that all of it (yes, ALL of it, even the worst, crappiest, most painful, frustrating moments…) are happening for my benefit. For my personal growth and expansion.

I don’t think hard things happen just to punish us.

I think they happen to teach us lessons; to help us grow, expand, and up-level into the next version of ourselves.

You feel me on this? If so, you’ll definitely want to tune into this week’s episode of the Sensitive & Soulful Show.

Personal update šŸ•Šļø (Triggering warning: misc Personal update šŸ•Šļø

(Triggering warning: miscarriage)

Two weeks ago, I was 10-weeks pregnant with our second child. Exhilarated, nervous, excited, exhausted… we were ready to go through allll of it again with baby #2. šŸ¤

At our first doctors appointment, the heartbeat was strong at 137 bpm. We breathed a sigh of relief, feeling like ā€œokay, this is really happening!!ā€

We made our appointment to learn the gender, I ordered a ā€œbig sisā€ T-shirt for Blaine to use for a pregnancy announcement, and we talked about fun ideas for how we’d do a gender reveal.

ā€œWe’re gonna know if it’s a boy or girl by the 4th of July! So exciting!ā€ šŸ™šŸ¼

But on June 14th, things started to take a turn for the worst.

The following day, I went to the doctor for an ultrasound… and instead of that strong heartbeat, we heard only silence.

ā€œThere’s no heartbeat, is there?ā€ I’d asked. ā€œI don’t think so,ā€ the ultrasound tech said. I’d burst into tears. The silence was deafening.

We’ve been through miscarriage once before. I know the pain intimately. Yet nothing can prepare you for the devastation, shock, and grief of it all… again.

You’re grieving a person you never got to meet, memories you didn’t get to create.

I’ve found myself getting teary eyed when my daughter laughs because I’ve wondered ā€œwhat would this baby’s laugh have sounded like?ā€

Miscarriage is unfortunately so common. I know so many women who’ve walked this path.

Yet it can feel like such an invisible, lonely grief because on the outside you like ā€œfineā€ and ā€œnormalā€ and no one else ever met this person you lost.

But the pain of it couldn’t be more real.

I don’t know why these things happen, but they do. It’s part of the experience of life. We live, we love, we lose.

And I will always share my experiences openly because I want you to know that you’re not alone, you’re not broken, and even if it doesn’t feel like it right now… everything, eventually WILL be okay.

This post is dedicated to our two sweet angel babies in heaven and our amazing rainbow baby we’ve got here with us. šŸŒˆšŸ‘¼šŸ¼šŸ‘¼šŸ¼

Life is a blessing. Hug your people today.

Xoxo,

As sensitive people, we have a tendency to gasligh As sensitive people, we have a tendency to gaslight ourselves… a lot. 🫠

How many times have you been going through something challenging, only to question if it’s really THAT big of a deal? šŸ‘€

šŸ™‹šŸ¼ā€ā™€ļøšŸ™‹šŸ¼ā€ā™€ļøšŸ™‹šŸ¼ā€ā™€ļø

For many of us, a lack of self-trust runs rampant on our lives.

We sometimes question our reality.

We often feel guilty taking time to heal or rest.

We wonder if we should just ā€œsuck it upā€ and move on already.

This has personally been one of my biggest struggles. And time and time again, when life knocks me down… I’m shown the power of trusting myself.

I’m shown that, even if other people don’t get it… I need time and space to heal.

Even if other people can move on quickly, my sensitive body requires more time and space and rest.

And even if it feels uncomfortable to slow down… I can trust my body to tell me what it needs.

For anyone else in a season of healing… I know it can be hard to trust yourself in a society that values ā€œmoving on quicklyā€ā€¦

But dang, the growth and expansion that comes from listening to yourself is MASSIVE.

Your body is wise and only YOU know what’s best for YOU. šŸ¦‹

In life, you will have experiences that break your In life, you will have experiences that break your heart. That’s a promise.

There will be moments that bring you to your knees; things that happen that make you ask, ā€œwhy me??ā€

When we sign up for life, this is part of the deal. We never reach a destination of ā€œnow everything is great and I’m always happy!ā€

Life is filled with different cycles and experiences that are meant to crack you open and expand you and show you the meaning of love.

And what’s helped me through the toughest times is acceptance.

Accepting that… even though I don’t know WHY this is happening, I trust it’s for my highest good.

Accepting that I was given this challenge because I can handle it, even when it feels like a LOT.

Accepting that I am capable. I’m the one for the job. I have survived every hardship that’s come my way, and I’ll survive this one, too.

Challenges don’t come to punish you; they’re just part of life.

And when we shift from ā€œwhy me? Everything bad always happens to me!ā€ to… ā€œthis sucks, I’m sad, AND I know I’ll make it through this and become even stronger.ā€

We suffer less. That doesn’t mean bypassing our feelings or trying to rush to the other side of an experience.

It just means we’re accepting what is, even if it’s not what we want. šŸ™šŸ¼

For anyone else in the midst of a challenging time, I’m sending you all my love. 🩷
